Staying up late for Pacman

It’s 4:24 am in Denmark. I just made a nice hot cup of coffee, and now I’m scouring the internet for live blogs re: Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather’s fight. My friends invited me to a pay-per-view night out yesterday, but I had other plans so I declined. Now I’m envious seeing their facebook photos, or maybe I’m not envious at all. They are paying around 500 DKK for the episode, but the network is not giving them anything at the moment. That sucks.

I have been away from home for 25 months now, and things like this fight remind me of my roots. Pacman is a Filipino, proud that he is, and likewise, I am always confident and smiling whenever someone from my travels asks me where I came from: PHILIPPINES! 🙂 And yes, we’re crazy about boxing (Go, Manny!), basketball (despite our average height, we are crazy for the sport! I think that’s where the expression “small but terrible” came from. hihi), singing and beauty pageants (do re mi fa so……. I feel pretty, Oh so pretty, I feel pretty and witty and gayyyy….. ♪)

Pacquiao vs Mayweather will definitely define this Sunday. Gloomy or Joyful? Happy or Sad? I bet the Philippines is all awake right now, especially my Papa, and I’m staying up late with them. ❤

Here are some live blogs for the fight:
