Last April, we went for a day trip to Horten, a coastal city in southeastern Norway, to geocache and to get some fresh air. We first visited the city in 2021, checking out the Gjestehavn, Kyststien and Karljohansvern. The second time, we took the boat to Moss. So, this is actually the third trip there. Horten, by the way, is located in Vestfold county, along the Oslofjord.
More about our first trip to Horten here: https://pinayodyssey.com/2021/08/30/roadtrip-3-an-afternoon-drive-w-o-a-destination-horten-spiralen/.
It was a care-free kind of trip, i.e., without much planning. The drive took about 1 hour and 40 minutes. We followed a geocaching trail, and found and logged 4 caches. 1 DNF. Pfft..

It wasn’t a very clear day. In fact, it was an on-and-off, drizzly day with lots of wind. Hence, we decided to go home after 4 (5, if you count the 1 DNF) caches. But before that, we caught a glimpse of the ferry boat crossing the Oslofjord from Horten to Moss. We also checked out a community library (super cool!). This wasn’t the first one of this type of community library we saw, though. Anyway, this one’s an old phone house turned into a mini-library where people can borrow and lend books without expectations!

What more? We finally saw some snowdrops! Which means that King Winter finally, absolutely, undoubtedly, decided to take a vacation. 🙂

I’m excited for RoadTrip #46. Until then!
